Privacy
This page is maintained by the 1bookamonth team to explain, in plain language, what the app stores and why.
What we store
Your email address and sign-in identity, a display name if you set one, the reading topic and answers you give during onboarding, your generated roadmap, and your reading logs, pages or minutes, and the dates you logged them. Your reminder time is kept in your own browser, not on our servers.
Why we store it
Only to run the app: to build your roadmap, show your progress and streak, and keep it all there when you sign back in. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else is involved
We rely on a small number of services to make the app work: our hosting and database provider stores your account and reading data; an AI model provider receives the onboarding answers needed to generate your roadmap; Open Library, Google Books and similar public catalogues are queried for book covers and page counts. If you sign in with Google, Google confirms your identity to us, so we never see your password.
Access controls
Your journey, roadmap and reading logs are readable only by your own signed-in account. Data is protected in transit and at rest by our hosting provider. This is a description of how the app is built, not an independent security certification.
Deleting your data
Starting a new journey replaces your current plan. To delete your account and everything attached to it, email us and we will remove it. You can also clear your locally stored reminder settings by clearing your browser data for this site.
